Collection: Kaija Kautto

I have resumed my love of clay and pottery after retiring from many years of full-time work in IT/Automation in aluminium smelting.
Pottery is such a contrast to sitting at a desk and staring at a computer screen. I mainly make hand-built "pots", as I love the slowness of the process, and the result
of one-o pieces. I have a small work-space in my garage, where I like to disappear
once in a while to to satisfy my “creative bursts”. I draw inspiration from my
Finnish heritage as well as from the nature surrounding me at the beautiful coastal
hamlet of Bell Buoy Beach, where I have lived for the past six years.
