Collection: Sue Walsh
I was born in Scottsdale TAS where I learnt to sew at school. I moved to George Town at age 15 for work. Back then I made several items of my own clothing. At 18 I married and went on to have 2 boys. It wasn’t until the boys were adults, a health scare for myself and advice from a friend that I returned to my love of making. I’m an old fashioned girl at heart and have a collection of vintage sewing machines and vintage chenille bedspreads that I intended to make something from but couldn’t bring myself to cut them. I enjoy the process of combining different fabrics and colours to make everything from large quilts to small stitcheries.
