Collection: Sue Doherty
I’m Sue Doherty from George Town.
My passions are, family, photography and fishing, and getting these into a life- work balance can be a challenge, but they all interconnect and enhance my world.
Photography is my emotional eye, I capture the world through my lens, I take advantage of my waterways home to share the beauty of the Tasmanian coastline, it’s skies and its interiors. My favourite style of photography is portraiture. Being able to record the essence of a person, a moment in a single shot.
I hone my skills and find my voice in the George Town Photography Group to which I belong, this allows me to explore all mediums with like-minded snappers.
I’ve had my work used for promotion for The Brighton Jetty Sculptures ( South Australia), exhibited my works at the Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival, produced an annual calendar showcasing the Tamar Valley with my friend, Jennie Timmins, and some of my photos have been purchased in the past by the George Town Council
